Community first, community during, community always
Connecting with community
Primestor’s commitment to community-driven projects is founded on the practice of inviting the local community to be part of the development process from the initial plans through operation and event programming.
We take a hands-on approach to connecting with community members early and regularly to establish an open dialogue. This empowers local residents to ask questions, express needs, aspirations and concerns as well as provide ideas and input throughout the different phases of a project.
Building relationships
A symbiotic partnership between Primestor and the community underpins a project’s success by:
- Encouraging community engagement and “buy-in.”
- Fostering a sense of ownership and ongoing commitment by local community groups and community leaders.
- Facilitating project approval from relevant local entities.
- Driving the project programming process to deliver a property with goods and services that match the community’s needs and wants.
Community stakeholders
Primestor believes in strengthening its relationships with local organizations throughout the community engagement process. Schools, religious groups, nonprofits, athletic clubs, youth groups, neighborhood councils and more provide valuable input during project development and contribute to event programming once the project is completed. These relationships are foundational to our “for the community, by the community” approach.
Local government partnerships
Primestor actively collaborates with public agencies to achieve community development goals throughout the country, proactively seeking new public-private partnerships to create jobs, complete projects, and support minority urban underserved communities.
