Case Study
Panorama City Center:
an overview
This project will transform one of the largest urban sites in the heart of the San Fernando Valley into a dynamic mixed-use center.
Developed in the 1960s as an indoor retail mall with a sea of parking, the Panorama Mall will be transformed into a vibrant community center that may include an activated open space, retail, health and wellness, residential, hotel and office uses.
Primestor is overseeing the master planning, entitlement and environmental review process for this project. The effort has entailed significant community outreach, including over 20 community-wide outreach events and multiple presentations to the Neighborhood Council as well as local community groups. The project will transform a surface parking lot into a community living room, providing both local and national retailers, entertainment tenants, and regularly scheduled events programmed with input from the community.
Primestor is deep into the design and engineering of the first Phase, which is expected to include up to 800 residential units (including income restricted units), significant infrastructure and transit-orientation that leverages public investments in the area.
